Hey guys. I just wanted to take a few minutes today and THANK each and every one of you for following my blog and supporting me. Whether you support me by liking, commenting, or personally messaging me about my blogs, I appreciate it dearly. I want you to know that my goal is to take my blog to the next level, and that is only going to be possible with all of your support. Some, or most of you have been with me from the beginning when I first started with NO experience in blogging, so THANK YOU so much for believing in me. You have given me the fuel to become better just by supporting me. I hope to be able to encourage and inspire you to reach some of your life and health dreams/goals in return.
Thanksgiving is definitely one of my favorite holidays because I always take a few minutes to brainstorm about everything I am thankful for. I begin by counting all my blessings, and just kind of reflecting back on every little thing that makes a difference in my life. For me, sometimes just a way a person makes me feel is enough, or being able to have great health is a reason to be thankful. It’s often the simple things I appreciate first and then greater things follow. Today I actually created a tree branch (see image below) and put some of the most important reasons I am thankful for on the leaves of the branch. This helped me to really focus on what’s great in my life and realize why I am so thankful.
Besides enjoying all the delicious food during Thanksgiving dinner, I hope you take a few minutes of your day and think of all the reasons you’re thankful for. Now if in the end your branch is smaller than you thought it was going to be then it may be time for you to practice gratitude by taking time to notice and reflect upon the simple things that you already posses, and become more appreciative about them. Try experiencing more positive emotions, feel more alive, become more compassionate, and express more kindness towards others. Your energy always reflects back on you; so the more positive energy you give out to the world the more goodness you will attract.
In ending, I would like to challenge you to take a few minutes on the morning of Thanksgiving and call or text a few people to thank them. I know we all have the habit of sending Thanksgiving memes to loved ones but make it more personal this year. Think of 4-5 people who you really want to thank (family, friends, coach, etc.) and personally tell them how they make your life better by being in it. I do this every year and Trust Me, not only will you make this person feel special, but also encourage them to continue to give more of that same energy back to you. Consider this your way of giving back to them, and with that in mind I hope you have a WONDERFUL THANKSGIVING!!!
