Been getting lots of people asking about the recipe of my nightly drink that I’ve been posting on Snapchat lately so I decided to share the recipe. I originally made this drink when I felt a cold coming on and was trying to prevent it but after drinking it I realized it also helped me relax and fall asleep. It can also be consumed as a detox drink before going to sleep.  I make it by using (per cup) 1-strawberry (sliced thinly) , 5-10 blue berries, a little fresh mint, some grated ginger (amount depends on your preference) , one teaspoon of honey, and boiling water.Screen Shot 2016-03-15 at 4.33.14 PMIt’s sort of like making tea except I don’t use tea because the caffeine in tea will prevent me from falling asleep.  So I just pull all the ingredients inside my glass, add boiling water, and stir it really well until the honey dissolves. I let it seat for about 3-5 minutes so all the flavors extract and mix in and then it’s ready.

It has a hint of sweetness from the fruit and honey but the spices of the ginger balances it to a soft, smooth flavor.  Of course, inhaling the steam and the aroma of the flavors while holding the glass also helps relax the mind and body. Perfect drink to sip on while reading at bedtime. Try it and please comment to let me know if you like it! 🙂
