So I just watched the Fashion walk-down of the 2016 MET Gala on E! and picked out my two favorite outfits. For those of you don’t know, the Mat Gala is also known as the Costume Institute Gala, and is a fundraising event that benefits the Metropolitan Museum of Art’s Costume Institute in New York City (the fashion department). This year the theme was “Manus x Machina: Fashion in an Age of Technology.”
Favorite look of the night for me from the 2016 MET Gala is the gorgeous Emily Ratajkowski. I know her dress is not too costume-looking from the front, but I think her look is very clean, and extremely sexy. The costume-like details of her outfit is more apparent from the sides, and the back of the dress. Overall, I love this look the most because the dress is very figure enhancing, and the white shows off her nicely tanned/toned body (summer alert lol). Her strappy sandals with minimum details seem to really push this outfit to the next level of sexiness.
My second favorite pick of the night is from the fashion queen herself Sarah Jessica Parker. Not sure how this outfit ties in with age of new technology, but I do love the Hamilton/military inspired jacket, matching tank, and cropped pants. I feel like she went with more of modern yet sophisticated look this year. Of course, her outfit is all white as well which is my favorite color to rock anywhere. She tied it all together so well with pumps from her own SJP Collection line, which she shared on Instagram earlier today.
